What is Jumbo About?

Jumbo is a story of family, friendship, and courage, told through vibrant animation and heartfelt characters. Directed and written by Ryan Adriandhy, the film follows a young boy named Don who embarks on an adventure that blurs the lines between imagination and reality.

“This film deserves to be made and enjoyed by all families in Indonesia. For us, our kids, and the child within each of us,” said Ryan during a press conference in Jakarta.

Jumbo is 100% a local Indonesian production. Since 2019, the team at Visinema Studios has worked tirelessly to create a world that reflects local culture, emotions, and imagination. The project took five years to complete, combining detailed research and a passionate creative process.

Anggia Kharisma, the film’s producer, emphasized the importance of creating quality content for children:

“There’s a lack of inclusive content for kids today. Jumbo is our responsibility as creators—to bring better stories to life.”
